Green's got its start in Atlanta way back in 1937 on Ponce De Leon Ave. Ponce looked a little different then. But that's not surprising—it looked different five years ago. There was no Ponce City Market, of course. And grocery stores were few and far between. 

Virginia Highland wasn't as bustling—or even referred to as such—but residents from there and from what is now Poncey Highland, Little Five Points, Atkins Park and the Old 4th Ward all helped make Green's what it is today. They came for the great customer service, quality selection of beer, wine, and liquor, and for our competitive prices. And folks all across Atlanta still do today.
