Cosmopolitan

Despite being served in a cocktail or martini glass, the Cosmo, as it is affectionately known, is not a type of martini. There is no vermouth, after all. For this simple, yet sophisticated cocktail, just grab some vodka—citrus or unflavored—and get started.

What You'll Need

• 1 1/2 oz vodka
• 3/4 oz Cointreau (a type of Triple Sec)
• 3/4 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
• 1/2 oz cranberry juice cocktail
• Lime or lemon, for garnish

How You Make It

• Add the vodka, Cointreau, lime juice, and cranberry juice cocktail into a shaker with ice
• Shake until chilled and strain into a cocktail glass
• Garnish with a lemon twist or lime wedge
